Villa Montes
Because of its location on the banks of the Pilcomayo River, the border
between the Andes Mountains and the semi-arid Chaco plain, you will find a
great diversity of plants and animals in the vicinity of Villa Montes, and because
it is almost always sunny climate campig is possible on almost any day of the

are really as green and sustainable as possible. For this reason we make no use
of fuel hungry 4x4, but we offer tours in which we in small groups (maximum 4
people) go on a bike path or walking. Furthermore, a percentage of income from
our tours and excursions go back into the treasury of the foundation and thus the
tourists help keeping Villa Montes green by joining our tours because their money
goes back in the conservation of nature where they belong. In addition, we hope
that those who participate on our tours gain a wider knowledge of the area, helping
to increase the support to sustain this area for future generations. Finally we hope
that the raise of toeristincome with other middle class villagers, will help them
realise that the Pilcomayo river an the Chaca can not just be used but have to be
