As chairman of the LAMPI Foundation, since januari 2007 he is responsable for
all activities of our organisation and for the communication within our
organisation. He's also webmaster of this website. Max lives full-time in Bolivia.

Secretary
In April 2008 Marjolein arrived at the office of LAMPI in Villa Montes. Since that
moment she is making a great effort in the organizational structure, PR and
administration of the organization. Since July 2008 Marjolein also is a member of
the directive of LAMPI, fulfilling the function of secretary.

N.G.J.H. Lamers (Niek)

In order to conclude his study Education Biology Teachers at the college of
Arnhem and Nijmegen (HAN) Niek came to the LAMPI office in April 2008. His
internship focused on mapping the foodweb of the Pilcomayo river. Since July
2008 Niek also took place in the board of LAMPI as treasurer.

working on her PhD. focusing on environmental health issues in mining centers and the
Pilcomayo, working part-time in Bolivia and part-time in Holland. Marinke is responsible
for the research policy of our organisation. Recently she started working part-time for

Dr. A.J.P. Smolders (Alfons)
General board member and Science Advisor
Fons Smolders was the first Amigo that went to Bolivia. After meeting his Bolivian wife
there in 1995 he spent two years on a ranch in Villa Montes where he started his
research on the Pilcomayo. After coming back to Holland in 1998 to work for the Radboud
University Nijmegen, he kept coming back to Bolivia every year to continue his research.
Under his supervision since 1997 more than 10 students went to Bolivia for a traineeship.
