Friends of the Pilcomayo
Since January 1, 2008 donations
made to charity institutions in the
Netherlands are deductible from
taxable income as they are regarded
as a so-called General Utilities
transaction (ANBI in dutch). For our
sponsors LAMPI asked to become on
of those ANBI foundation in
December 2008 with the Dutch tax
authority's. Nearly four months after
the submission of the request we
received the message that our
application for a ANBI decision was
well qualified in March this year. This
is good news for our sponsors who
now can give their donations tax-free
to LAMPI. So what are you waiting
for? Helping LAMPI has never been
so cheap! Both small and larger
donations are welcome to our
account 12.44.80.217 (Rabobank)

Despite of the fact that most of our work is done by volunteers, it would be sheer
impossible to do all this work without the help of other friends. For the execution of
our projects we need materials, transport and also energy and telephone bills
have to be paid. A part of these costs we can pay with the money that we make
from selling research data and LAMPI merchandise, but thanks to the financial
support we receive from our sponsors we are able to do a lot more than we could
without their help.

If you wish to help us protecting the Pilcomayo and improving the quality of life of the people living along its shores,
then you can do so by making a donation to the LAMPI foundation.

account number 12.44.80.217 (the Netherlands), mentioning "Monthly donation LAMPI foundation".
2. If you rather wish to make a single donation you can also donate an amount to the same account number
12.44.80.217, but now stating "Single donation to LAMPI Foundation".

The English translations of "Los Amigos del Pilcomayo" is "Friends of the Pilcomayo", and that name was chosen
with a reason. The major part of all the work done by LAMPI is done by students and volunteers, most of which
come to Bolivia for various months to work for our organisation without any wage. During their time in Bolivia we
don't only work together, but because we all live in the same house, we also eat together, we sleep together
(everyone in his own bed though) and even in our past time we do a lot of things together. Therefore besides
colleagues we are also friends.
