Informative Signs
Recently, we have started a new project: designing educational signs carrying information about the Pilcomayo and its
surroundings. At the moment, the local government of Villa Montes is constructing a boulevard alongside the river Pilcomayo.
The length of this boulevard will be about 1.5 kilometers and various recreational spots will be constructed, such as
playgrounds and a swimming pool.

The boards that we are designing, will be placed every other 100 meters along this boulevard. The objective of our project is to
offer Villamontinos (inhabitants of Villa Montes) as well as tourists interesting information about the natural, historical and
cultural richness of the region. Reading these signs, while enjoying the panorama, the passer-by will be impressed with the
value of the environment and of the importance to be careful with it. The messages on the signs will treat a variety of subjects:
the origin of the river; its flora and fauna, the history of Villa Montes, various indigenous groups and even ‘the monster’ that,
according to the tradition, lives at the bed of the river.

We have concluded the project proposal and the municipal government is enthusiastic about the project. Since our project will
enrich the scenery of the boulevard, the local government was more than willing to contract us and to provide for the finances.
After we have finished making the designs, the actual production and placement of the boards will take place in the last phase
of the construction of the boulevard. According to the schedule of the local government, the entire project will be finished in
March 2009.
